Charakteristika

The Bubny–Výstaviště bridge complex consists of three viaducts. Two of them carry the “Kladno” railway line from the Bubny station to the new Výstaviště stop, located in the Stromovka park area. The third, which runs parallel to the first of the two viaducts mentioned above, carries the “Kralupy” railway line. As noted above, the Kladno viaducts consist of two structures measuring 182 m and 570 m in length.

From the perspective of the future urban structure of the city, the construction of new viaducts connecting the Prague-Bubny railway station with the Prague-Výstaviště stop was crucial, as it removed the barrier of the original Buštěhradská railway fill and opened up possibilities for further transport connections. A new bicycle/pedestrian connection between Veletržní and Dělnická streets was built during the construction, connecting the Holešovice and Letná districts for the first time in more than 160 years of the railway's existence. The construction of the viaducts also frees up space for the start of the urbanization of the Bubny-Holešovice-Zátory brownfield (in accordance with the zoning study) and related projects by other investors, including the possible use of the space under the viaducts in the form of planned "built-in" structures.
