Charakteristika

In March 2025, Dopravní podnik hl. m. Prahy (DPP) reopened the modernised depot in trial operation. The depot was built and opened in 1951. Operation of the depot had to be terminated in 2018 due to static problems in carrying structures. Now, after 75 years, it has received a complete renovation and has started to serve its purpose again, i.e. as servicing shed, for the repair and maintenance of trams. The DPP operating units ", which maintain the tram lines, are also seated here in Kolbenova St. The construction was financed from the budget of the City of Prague. 

The area of the depot is located in the urbanized area of the Prague 9 district, it´s area is 6 ha and is used for tram repair and maintenance. It also houses the premises of Dopravní podnik hl. m. Prahy,  which provides maintenance and operation of tram lines.
