Modernization of Railway line Veselí nad Lužnicí – Soběslav

From the year 2017, new express trains with a travel time of about 2 hours should start to operate between the cities of Prague and České Budějovice. The modernization of the fourth railway corridor, including the section from Soběslav and Veselí nad Lužnicí, allows a substantial reduction of the travel time. The goal is to reduce the travel time by another 20 minutes, but there are still several building structures to be finished before the modernization of the rail link between the capital and the south Bohemian metropolis is ready and complete. The structures include the linking section between the municipalities of Soběslav and Doubí u Tábora.
