Charakteristika
The line tubes of the Beroun tunnel are designed as single-track, connected by a system of cross-interconnections. The total length of the line in the tunnel is approximately 26 km for each tunnel tube. The total length of all the tunnels including temporary works comes to nearly 60 km. The tunnels run at a relatively great depth below the ground surface for the most of the line. The overburden above the top of the line tunnels locally exceeds 175 m. The project counts on both conventional tunnelling and the deployment of up to four tunnelling machines.
